Winter Programme 2024/25

Meetings are held on alternate Tuesdays from 7 - 9pm

2024


24th September:  Members night - Discuss club activities etc. Bring along paintings you've done over the summer and any books/materials you may want to sell


8th October:  Demonstration by Richard Johnson - Showing us a Yorkshire seascape and sweeping sky in watercolour


22nd October:  Workshop based on previous demonstration.  Paint a seascape/dramatic sky in watercolour or medium of your choice 


5th November:  Demonstration by Vicki Davidson - Animals in colour, bold marks and deep contrasts between light and shade, in Acrylic or watercolour.  A selection of prints and cards will be for sale


19th November: Workshop based on previous demonstration, Paint your own pet or a wild animal in deep contrasts and bold marks or choose your own style and medium


3rd December:  Demonstration by Ian Davenport - Landscape in oils working from sketches and photographs


17th December:  Workshop based on previous demonstration - create a landscape paining in oil or your own choice of medium



2025


7th January:  Talk/Demonstration by Neil McGregor - Degas pastel drawings - including a short workshop using Degas techniques.  Pencils/charcoal/pastels and tracing paper will be supplied


21st January:  Workshop:  Following on from previous demonstration/workshop.  Copy one of Degas pastel drawings or try your own original


4th February: Demonstration by Anne Smith, our own DAC member - Anne will draw a portrait using pastel / pencils / pan pastel


18th February: Workshop based on previous demonstration - create your own portrait in pastel or your own choice of medium if preferred


4th March: Demonstration by Terry Chipp -  Landscape in acrylics


18th March: Workshop based on previous demonstration -  create a landscape in acrylic or your choice of medium


1st April:  Demonstration by Olivia Pang, our own DAC member - Olivia is going to give us a calligraphy demonstration


15th April:  Workshop based on previous demonstration - try your hand at calligraphy within your piece of work, maybe a chinese theme or symbol


29th April:  AGM: Your chance to share ideas after the minutes of the meeting have been completed / comittee members approved.
